When to Seek Immediate Emergency Dental Care
Please come and see us immediately if toothache has caused fever, facial swelling or a general sense of being unwell. A bad tooth infection can affect your general health and you must get emergency treatment. If you knock out a tooth you will need to come and see us straightaway. Sometimes a tooth can be successfully reinserted in the first 30 minutes to an hour after the accident. If you do knock out a tooth, carefully pick it up by the crown and rinse off any visible dirt. Either re-insert the tooth, ensuring it faces the right way around or store it in a little milk or saliva and come to see us straightaway.
