A single dental implant is a great option when you only need to replace a single tooth because it is self-supporting so your implant crown will emerge from the gums, just like a real tooth. Once restored with your implant crown, you can look after your implant tooth simply by brushing and flossing, just as you do for your natural teeth.
If you are missing multiple teeth in the same area of your mouth, or even a complete arch, you do not need to replace every tooth with an implant.
